You’ve been waiting a long time for news – and we want to be open with you:
We are frustrated, at a loss for words, and disappointed.

We’re sorry that we communicated so little – we were stuck in delays for weeks and had to carefully review our options from a legal perspective.
A date in May is not possible for the Chiemgau Trail Run 2026.

Our goal over the past months was to find a solution together with authorities and landowners. We held many discussions, coordinated intensively, and examined all options – unfortunately without receiving the hoped-for approval for May.

The reason lies in nature conservation regulations and the sensitive protection periods in spring, during which no exemptions can be granted.
The requested exemption permit was not approved by the Government of Upper Bavaria.

This affects the period up to July, not the event itself.
The Chiemgau Trail Run will continue – and we are still working on a new, approvable date in autumn 2026.

As soon as we know more, you’ll be the first to hear about it.
Thank you for your understanding, your patience, and your support.
We truly hope you’ll stay loyal to the CTR!
